The PDP-8/F Minicomputer


PDP-8/F S M L XL The PDP-8/F was the newer version of the PDP-8/E -- the power supply was changed to be a switching version, and the cabinet was shortened. The OEM version of the F was the M. Introduced in 1972, withdrawn in 1978.

This 8/F came from a generous donor in Ottawa, and is identified as: PDP-8/F-AE S/N 944 Dated 1974 06 11. It was built in San German, Puerto Rico (the serial number is prefixed by "PR03"). This is the same place that the second PDP-8/M was built.
